Accessibility

Since 2015, it has been a legal requirement (according to the Disability Discrimination Act 1992) that all online, downloadable Word and PDF documents can be read, using assistive technologies, by people who are blind or have low vision. Government and councils, and agencies funded by or working for government or councils, must meet at least WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards.

Anthouse has been working with our government clients to ensure their pdf and Word documents are compliant to these accessibility standards.

We can also edit and redesign documents into ‘Easy English’ documents to meet the guidelines for resources that are accessible to people with intellectual disabilities. This includes editing content into simple English as well as changing layouts to be simple to read and easy to understand.
